I'm not a fan of them but if you want a great DD beater truck I would recommend anything with a 22r or 22re motor.. those things take a beating and live forever..
I pulled the head on mine.. lol the radiator fluid looked like a milkshake and the head was so warper I couldn't cam the cam out of it.. damn good trucks |

well, I don't like the matrix, but it has the same engine as the Celica GT, or the GT-S if she has the Matrix R or some shit. the 1ZZ-FE (base matrix engine) isn't really built for that. It's the gas sipping workhorse, thus the FE derivative the name of the engine.
If it was the "sporty" Matrix (yeah, they really tried that), it would have the 2ZZ-GE, which is the 190hp Celica GT-S engine, which was still a horrific failure in toyota's book. The engine was good, but didn't respond will to bolt-ons, and boost would kill it faster than a jew at a Nazi rally. (sorry if I offended any jewish people) Now they have the new one with the Camry/Scion TC engine in it. It still sucks, but toyota did a much better job with that. |
