I hope Ford brings back the 5.0 motor for the 2009 or 2010 models. With all of these new heavy ass American "Hot Rods" coming out, which are all boasting 6.0L V8s and bigger. The Pontiac GXP, 2009 Camaro, and Dodges new models including the SRT8s.
Or maybe just drop the 5.4L V8s in the GTs.

yeah wouldn't that be cool? they're talking about getting rid of the modulars and going back to pushrods. i think it would be awesome if ford came out with a 5.0 pushrod that could compete with those bigger engines

One problem with todays American cars is that companies like Pontiac, Dodge, and Chevy are throwing massive V8s into boats and calling them sports cars. I am sorry but a 5,000 pound sedan with a 6.1L V8 (cough hemi) is not a sports car, or even a sports sedan. Audi, BMW, Subaru, Mitsu, now those are all sports sedans. Lightweight and nimble.

That's why I like my Mustang, it only has a 4.6L V8 but it pushes out 300 HP from the factory, and as you all know is super easy to unleash its true potential via a couple of lightweight bolt-ons.

Now if Ford were to put the 5.4L V8 in the 2009s. Wow that would be something fierce. Ford needs to keep the Mustang strong, KR stands for King of the Road, and thats what they should stay as.

I think the FRPP Cammer 302 would be a perfect candidate for production. But a new pushrod would be sweet.
