Da cougar

it's having a starting issue that's pissing me off.. it cranks just fine.. so it's not the starter..
it feels like it's not getting enough fuel on start up ( this is bone stock btw)

I replaced :

plugs
wires
injectors
pump
filter (air and fuel)
cleaned maf/aic
replaced pcv..

still I have to give it a quick tap of gas at start up or it dies.. yes all my fittings are secure and no I don't have any vac leaks.. I checked about 12 times...

any ideas?

no idle issues at all.. once it starts it's just fine.. it's just that if I don't tap the gas (it's fuel injected) it wants to die at start up..(jumps around to 300-500 rpms then catches after a second) I mean just a little tap.. like a 1500 rpm rev on a stang.

try this.. before you start it, just turn the switch on for a few seconds before you try to crank it.. see if that does anything

The regulator is a very good possiblity...

Can you get a cheap adjustable somewhere...Those work on the 3.8's right?
