Speedo & Windshield Wipers Stopped


Hey guys i got a 98 Ranger 177k ml very few problems owned it sense brand new and the other day just the speedo stop working (all other gagues work) and the windshield wipers do not work at all. Checked the fuses didnt see any blown, the SES light came on havnt ran the tuner to get the codes but any ideas??

Wierd. That happened to me on an explorer same year range. I am not sure if the speedo didn't work because I never drove it, but the windshield wipers crapped out and the motor was whining.

The cause: I knocked off a ground wire while fixing the TB.

Ok ill check for any wires..this happend kinda out of the blue tho. got the codes P0500 P1502 (those are off my livewire)

Just a miss understanging between my and my dad. He pulled a fuse for the dome light to keep from coming on. I thought he siad he checked the fuses. Put a new fuse in and everything worked. Oh well the truck didnt get an mil for about 2wks sense the speedo wasnt working!

Check the wirings and the fuses. It's difficult to drive without the wipers especially on some weather conditions. Did you bring it already to some mechanic?
