Can't Find A Job

Lame, I can't find a summer job at Auburn. I have filled out applications everywhere, and the only places that are hiring is the burger kind (fuck that) and wendys.

Fast food is the only thing that I wont do.

As a teenager I worked in grocery stores and once I graduated highschool I joined the Marine Corps.

Now I am at a college town wanting a minimum wagish job and can't find shit.
A water park was hiring for min. and I couldn't get a job there. I am over qualified to be a lifeguard, yet I still can't get hired as one.

BTW those personality I/O pysch tests that all employers are using are gay. I hope to god those aren't the reason I am not getting hired.

P.S. I have a clean record, am a U.S. citizen and dead sexy.

i don't blame you for not wanting to work fast food. i used to work at Arby's and it sucked so bad. i got paid $6/hr.

I feel your pain man. I was laid off from my janitorial job about a week and a half ago. Been looking for work around my area, so far I haven't found anything. The good news is, I passed my post office exam. The bad news is I might not get hired for 1-2 years. (if I get hired) I do have some PC experince, but I haven't received my certification yet. If all else fails, I would join the Marines.

i keep getting rejected from places. i blame part of it on affirmative action
i mean i have been getting rejected from doing night shift stocking, landscaping and factory work, yet they hight girls for the same positions.

It might be affirmative action. I am a white male. I also am a combat vet, so that could be it too. Maybe people think I am crazy. I seriously have applied to 20-30 different jobs I have a notebook by my computer, logging them all.

Well today I went to City of Auburn Human Resources and applied as a Firefighter, police officer, public safety officer, and a f'ing lifeguard.

Pretty much everything I could get my hands on that is student friendly.

Surveying & Engineering firms often hire for summer help...check out the local want ads...sure beats flippin burgers.
