all music falls prey to the masses
rap has become pop-orientated too.. it all boils down to the casual listener there's just no place for hardcore music like heavy metal and hardcore rap outside of a very small collective |

The industry is starting to take over again. If you look bad through history you will see there are times where every one had an independent label and recording studio in there basement and then other times where there was nothing but Atlantic, Brill, Warner Brothers, etc.
I also would like to blame iTunes for this problem. They specialize in selling singles, they provide the whole album but most people don't by them. They also mainly work with the big guys in the industry... the amenity that we have come to love is killing the music you guys appreciate. |

metal crashed and burned. It's dead. It will never make a come back, so stop crying about it. And if you knew anything about the "now", you would know that emo died like three years ago. If you want metal, listen to old records. Kthnx, I'm done in this thread.

I am not a fan of metal. Unless it is the so called new metal, like Nine Inch Nails. I love that stuff. I am more of a fan of the grunge revival with bands like Puddle of Mudd, or Seether. Hard Rock FTW.
