I really wanted something that will get me good gas mileage and be comfortable on long trips, but with a bit of classy and sport. I'm all about modding it, but all out power isn't what I'm after. Chip, CAI, Exhaust maybe. Never know, might go crazy and get a turbo. I just want it to start on the first crank and not squeek over bumps like the Mustang, you know. Diggin those OZ wheels though...

It was leather. Got the cashier's check, drove to Tallahassee (2 hours) and I'll be damned if the car wasn't a POS. The front hood had two dents in it right above the eyebrows (saw them in pics but assumed it was a shadow). Car had big scratch down driver's side door, looked keyed. Steering wheel had some funk on it, looked like someone messed it up with industrial strength cleaner or something. And, drove it anyways just to see how the '03's ride... rode great but I'll be damned if the air conditioning didn't work. Talk about pissed. The car was parked right next to a $95k Porsche and a $150,000 Mercedes AMG SL63... they're a Porsche, BMW and Mercedes dealer (must be nice).
I got to drive a 2006 BMW 335I, best car I've ever driven. Ever, no joke. Drive an '07 Mercedes C230 and it rode like crap... might has well of been a Chrysler Concorde or something. Also drove a the new C series, a Benz C335 and that thing was friggen pimp. It was super sporty, had AMG suspension and wheels, was $42k brand new... really drove well but the '06 BMW outdrive it easily. Was a crappy, yet fun day all the same. Didn't buy anything though. |

Would a Beemer be like the Mustang, in that if you put a tune & intake on it, will you also see an increase in mpg? I picked up 2 or 3 on mine by doing so. If that applies to the BMW, then maybe the premium doesn't hurt as much. If you pick up a couple mpg, then an extra 5 bucks or so to fill it with premium isn't as bad, and it's almost a wash.
