Getting a lot more members on here lately and the activity seems to be picking up. I have been trying to devote a lot of time to filling up the empty spots in the forums and I am writing a ton of articles to put on here. I hope this site takes off cuz I like how it is setup and there is so many differnt places to spend your time.

Toying with running a big shot on the mach after the build. Maybe 200 shot or something. I realy just want a pavement pounding N/A Mach but I think its needs a little jazz for the big boys like the vipers and low 11 sec guys at the track. I will have the 100 shot for pounding on zo6's and f-bodies but I think maybe this red headed step child needs some more juice. What do you guys think?

i took delivery of a 1993 4 cylinder notchback last night. it was too good of a deal to turn down. i'm not too sure what i'm gonna do with it yet, but it will definitely be a long term project for me. it has the straightest body i've ever seen on a foxbody. no rust, bondo, nothing. not even a dent. it runs great too and starts on the first try every time. i plan on keeping everybody updated with the progress of the car with this blog. here is the condition i got it in. the fenders, hood, bumpers, quarter windows, and interior are all out of the car, but everything came with it. putting everything back in/on the car will probably be the first thing i do. here are some pics.. don't pay any attention to the current paintjob though. i think whoever previously painted it might have been slightly retarded. i definitely have my work cut out for me...

Finals went great, but I ended up with an 84 on my Geography final and an 89 average. An 89 might as well be an 80, but I gave it my all and tried, so I am pleased. I also got an 84 on my Economics exam and finished with a B in the course. I am happy with a B and a B+ so far, and I should have my other two grades by the end of next week.

More excitingly, my girlfriend got an awesome puppy for graduation! She got a Puggle - designer breed of a Pug and a Beagle. His name is Cooper (after the Cooper River Bridge in Charleston - where she is going to college!) He is so cute, so fun, and so adorable!

Cooper likes to sleep a lot and likes to "make a good potty" outside too! He is teething like crazy, but he is so smart and daring. He is about 3-4 lbs. now, but he ran and jumped off of her bed earlier (scaring me to death), but he ended up alright!

Paige is really good with Cooper, and it is amazing to see how loving, caring, responsible, and happy she is with this puppy! The more I know her, the more I love her, and I love seeing her lifelong love for dog be satisfied! Seeing her this happy is the best feeling in the world. I just know she will make the best mom one day, and hopefully she will keep me around for that :)

ECON 2106 (Final Average)

Well, to make the schedule I wanted this semester, I skipped the first ECON class (ECON 2105 - Macro) for ECON 2106 - Micro.

Because I never was formally taught economic principles, some of the concepts were abstract, but once understanding the formulas, I could do any and all of the math.

I know that if I took the prerequisite first, I would have gotten a better course grade, but I ended up with an 84 on the final and a B in the course!

I have to wait for my grade in my geography course (either A- or B+ depending on the final), and I have two more finals this Tuesday (MIST 2090 and POLS 1101).

My girlfriend turns 18 tomorrow, and today we have been together 15 months (9 of which I was away at college). So for her birthday, I went to this local engraving place and picked out a pretty sweet picture album to have her name engraved on.

I am attaching an image of what I got. The fun part now will be adding the photos to the album. I think I won't add 50, but I will add 18 photos and maybe we can add to it later...

I hope she likes it :)

So, I got my lab practical grade last night and blogged about it, but then I go to check my UGA e-Mail this evening and see a grade posted for my Microsoft Access project.

This project was pretty extensive and pretty deep into creating and modifying databases.

Anywho, for my blogging fans, I will cut to the chase; I got a 99% on my Access Project! I'll add another print screen for your convenience :)

I am attaching a screen shot of my grades as they sit right now in MIST 2090 at UGA...

So my Management Informations Systems Technology (MIST) lab practical was last Wednesday, and our grades were available this evening. I scored a 95% on the lab prac!

I should end up with an A in the class, and my GPA should be a 3.5 at semester's end. I get to keep the HOPE scholarship (a GA lottery-funded scholarship that offers free tuition and $150 credit to books every semester for full-time students with a 3.0 or higher)!

My parents are proud of me, but I dont think anybody could be more proud than me. Succeeding at something that truly interests me is a real big motivator!

First Year of College...

...Is going great. I finished my final class last Thursday (4/24/2008), and After Tuesday, 5/06/2008, I will be done with finals for my first year at the University of Georgia. I have A's and B's, and I am doing really well in my major-related courses.

I'm not meaning to boast by any means, but I am always self-critical, and for once, I am please and satisfied with my life.

I tested out of all but the final Calculus class for UGA, exempted Freshman English, and have only 4 classes left in 2 semesters (the rest will be electives) and I will be accepted into the Terry College of Business at UGA.

I am a Finance major, Management minor (may concentrate in Marketing), and I really enjoy the subjects I am studying.

Aside from school, I am celebrating 15 months with my lovely girlfriend this Wednesday (4/30/2008)! Being with her for this period of time has really aided me in knowing who I am and who I want to be. Nothing beats the comfort found in having a number one fan in a significant other.

So college is 1/4 over, I have signed my first lease on an apartment on my own. I have a little buffer in my checking account, I feel at ease, and I feel success.

It feels great to believe I will be okay.

Thanks for reading this blog in its entirety, if you did. If not, you aren't missing much - just the budding success of the MBA-bound Mr. Alexander ;)

Well me and my wife have decided to start losing weight...I started this on Monday...

I weighed in at 225lbs...For being 5'7" that is bad...I weighed myself this AM and I weigh 218lbs...

I have cut all cokes and other $hit out of my diet...

Im getting portion control under control...I have been limiting myself to about 1400 calories a day with a water intake of 3 liters per day at least...

I am working out again...2 miles runs and the 2 miles of walking...

I am eating right and living better even though it has only been a week...

My goal is to be back in my pre-military shape by Christmas...

Thats about 155lbs...So I have about 64lbs to lose...

I will keep this blog updated at least every other day...

Over the past couple days, vBulletin released both a security update (v3.7.0 RC4) and an update to their blogging platform (v1.0.5) which had a few bug fixes though no new features to speak of.

Also been trying to resolve an issue with some of our editors being unable to upload images though Wordpress 2.5's new flash uploader. We'll eventually find a fix (been working diligently) and if not we'll ditch it.

URL Structure Changed A Bit

In the process of upgrading to the latest bleeding edge development code of vBSEO (recently became part of the pre-release team over there) 3.2.0 RC3 for vBulletin 3.7's new social features I decided to migrate the a similar url structure that's being used on Modded Mustangs.

The major difference was the use of forum name slugs instead of forum id's, and placing the thread id at the beginning for the thread slug instead of at the end. It just looks cleaner and it's something I'm more used to.

Had to go back and change a few links in threads though, better to do it now than down the road... in fact I wanted to change it a week ago but doing so bugged me... it's a really bad idea to change something like that but I figured since it's still so early in development it wouldn't hurt much.
