In a recent poll from Protcye nearly everyone in America wants to put everything from the kitchen sink into there vehicle. Polls state that the majority of the people wanted a fridge, a bathroom, and even a coffee-machine in there vehicle for those early morning starts.

Then nearly 45% of the American public would like to have a iPod docking station, and full plasma screen with connection to a game console (ie:xbox,playstation) with full surround sound attached as well. Also the “drinkers” out there would also enjoy a fully stocked bar in which they could get any alcoholic drink they wanted.

Another 15% of the American people also wanted to equip there already stupidly stocked vehicle, also with “heated floor-mats”. Honestly does anyone really need to put “heated floor-mats” into there vehicle? How much money do people have to throw away for stupid additions to there vehicle?

The motorsport division for Nissan will be revealing the NISMO tuning package to owners of the R35 on August 20th. Engineers at Nissan motorsports have been working around the clock to bring together these tuning packages – which range from circuit kits to street kits.

Each package will also be offered by themselves or as comprehensive combinations and will contain carbon fiber aero parts, wheels and tires, exhaust systems, more refined ECU’s, and cooling kits that have been upgraded. Nissan has put all parts through various tests (many of which were during the NISMO/MOTUL’s campaign for the R35 GT-R that was in the Tokachi 24 hour endurance race).

We don’t know whether or not these parts will be available in the United States – but we are sure to have more information as it is released.

1. Keep your foot out of the floor
One of the easiest things you can do is slow down. The faster you drive on your daily commute the more gas you burn so slow down and drive the speed limit. Don’t believe me drive the speed limit for a week on a full tank see how much gas you use. Now drive at your normal rate of speed racer for a week on a full tank and see how much you use.

2. Air in tires is good
Having the recommended pressure in your tires can save you some cash also. Tires lose air due to time (about 1 psi per month) and temperature (1 psi for every 10 degree drop). Less air means more tire surface on the ground which means more resistance. More resistance means more work to keep them rolling causing less mpg. Check your tires most of them will tell you the recommended pressure right on the tire

3. Check your air filter
Dirty air filter can be a fuel economy killer. A dirty filter will restrict the air flow to your engine which hurts your cars performance thus hurting the fuel economy of your vehicle. You can check your filter easily by pulling it out and holding it up to the sun. If you cant see light through it its time to replace. A K&N or any other brand of reusable cotton based replacement filter is another great option. You clean them rather then replace them and they increase your cars performance and fuel economy.

4. You’re not at the track quit acting like it
Accelerating at a normal pace not putting the foot in the floor at every light will save you a ton of gas in the long run. Quick start’s use more gas so if you drive an automatic just take off normal and you’ll be fine. If you drive a stick shift early to keep the rpm’s down. Anticipate stops. Speeding up quickly then slowing down quickly is a waste of gas especially in city traffic.

5. Sweat a little
Turn the A/C off and roll down the windows and enjoy the breeze while in town to save gas. While on the highway keep the A/C on because the wind resistance from the open windows will cost as much on gas and the A/C does.

Who here doesn’t love a good thrill ride? Chrysler knows how much the average consumer loves to drive fast with as much power behind the wheel as they can muster (or is legal). That is why they are providing a drag package on the up and coming Challenger – which was shown off at the SEMA back in 2006.

If rumors are true we can expect the drag pack to be equipped with the hi-po version like that found on the Hemi V8’s and the 5.9 liter Magnum. The National Hot Rod Association will be inspecting the package themselves and determine whether or not it is ready to be certified for racing.

Once it passes it will be entered into the Stock Eliminator class. Patricia Georgevich a spokeswoman from Chrysler stated that Chrysler is plannind on introducing the new car in July.

When the 2006 Ford Fusion was first released it paved the way for Ford to branch out in the mid-size sedan market and it gave Ford a newer and bolder look that would immediately catch the eyes of consumers. However, times have changed and Ford is making sure that the Fusion changes with it.

Ford will be replacing the Fusion’s 160 horsepower inline 4-cylinder engine with a 170 horsepower 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine complete with variable valve timing. The new engine will be joined with a brand new 6-speed transmission and will give Ford the ability to better compete with its rivals by making it a more powerful car and giving it better gas mileage than before.

Ford isn’t stopping there. They are contemplating giving it a brand new interior, front fascia, and an upgraded version of the 3.0 liter V6 engine.

As usual Ford is being tight lipped about the details and has not yet confirmed them. However, we are confident that these upgrades will be announced within the next few months before Ford releases the remodeled Fusion.
