Ford Lays Off 300 In Detroit

The Ford Motor Company is planning to layoff over 300 employees at its Romeo Engine plant in Detroit, because a recent drop in demand for the companies V8 engines. Angie Kozleski, a spokeswomen for the Ford Motor Company had this to say, “The layoffs began Monday and will continue indefinitely”.

Only A Select Few Chevy Dealers To Receive Corvette ZR1

According to GM, the number of dealers set to receive the new ZR1 will be limited to only 338 dealers, out of 3,932 nation-wide. Only those dealers with the highest proven Corvette sales records will be included in those 338. Even those dealers that were picked are expected to receive only one or two cars each.

This is an extremely low amount of units that has been produced. In fact they have always produced large amounts to meet the demands of te consumers.

GM Hybrid Production Hurt By Battery Defects

General Motors has had to recall close to nine thousand battery packs that were produced by their supplier – Cobasys. All of these battery packs were intended to be used and installed in the mild hybrid versions for the Saturn Vue, Chevrolet Malibu, and Saturn Aura.
