Mercedes has revealed pictures of the new 2009 G 55 AMG. This new SUV has been given upgrades in safety as well as comfort (which is something we always appreciate) and a new design that we can all appreciate.

The front has been graced with a brand new chromed three-bar grille, body color bumpers, fender flairs, 19” AMG light alloy wheels that have been painted grey, and stainless steel running boards.

Underneath the hood is a V8 5.5 liter engine that will push the horsepower from 500 to 507. While this is not necessarily a big jump forward it is still more. The torque will stay at 516 pound-feet.

This engine allows the new Mercedes to shoot from 0-62 mph in only 5.5 seconds – which might make it the least unaerodynamic car that is on the market right now. The new car starts at 121,618 euro.
