BMW Gives iDrive Customizable Features
In the past technology was something that many of us wished we understood and all of us wanted to have. Now it seems that everyone in a household has their own computers or iPods that can be customized to look the way they want and do all of the things they want it to do (or at least most of them).
BMW understands the consumers desire to customize everything and they are making this possible for their new and highly criticized iDrive system. Users will be able to choose different color schemes as well as screensavers for the graphical user interface – but more importantly they will be able to adjust the engine boost levels and transmission shift points – which will help consumers to increase the fuel economy.
If you happen to share a car with your spouse you will still be able to enjoy your personal customization. The car will know who is driving and will remember the setting when the specific key fob is being used. It is true that it sounds a bit confusing – but the good thing is any changes made can be done through a web enabled computer – which we are hoping will make things a bit easier. There are still dozens of more features for the new iDrive which you can look at here.
