In 2003 when Lamborghini introduced the ‘entry level’ Gallardo, they had fears that it would dilute the brand’s aura of exclusivity. Five years later, the Gallardo is the main reason Lamborghini has been able to keep its head above water. After the seeing the success of the Gallardo, Lamborghini has decided to make a more extreme varient, just as it did with the Murcielago LP640.

The Subaru Exiga - Can’t Keep It Underwraps For Ever

The Subaru Exiga has been spotted out in California undergoing some tests. The barely disguised Exiga has a very sleek and sharp look about it that clearly displays Subarus racing heritage. As is apparent from the photos the Exiga will be a large MPV style vehicle designed to fit 7 adults comfortably. The exiga is also rumored to be equipped with a panoramic glass roof, fold-out tables, and flat-panel TVs. On the outside the Exiga boasts a hood scoop borrowed from the Impreza STi as well as a rear spoiler and split twin tailpipes giving the car a very sproty look and feel overall.

The Donkervoort D8 GT Begins Production

Production of the Donkervoort D8 GT commenced last week in The Netherlands based factory. The Dutch specialty automaker is looking to produce 50 D8 GTs each year with an estimated entry cost of 90,000 euros. The D8 GT was originally unveiled at the 2007 Geneva Auto Show and has been in final development stages since. The car itself is an interesting car based upon the open-top D8 roadster but with significant improvements.

Volkswagen Scirocco GT24 Sweeps Class At Nurburgring

Known as one of the most demanding races in the world, the Nurburgring 24 is the perfect place to test both man and machine, or if your Volkswagen, make a name for your latest sports coupe. Last Thursday, May 22nd, Volkswagen introduced the Scirocco GT24 at the legendary GTI Meet at Worther Lake. As Chairman for Development Dr. Ulric Hackenberg put it, “This car doesn’t need to be driven to look fast.”

2008 Mercedes Benz C63 AMG

 Thundering out of the Mercedes-AMG  plant in Affalterbach, Germany, the C63 AMG dominates the C-segment that has previously been led by the BMW M3. To go after the likes of the M3, RS 4, and Lexus IS F, would appear to be a very long and misguided shot, but Mercedes pulls it off and then some.
