I wonder if this means Audi are finally going to do away with the A3 suspension altogether and mount the wheels directly to the body for a never before felt harshness of ride?

I want to say its both. The current on is referred to as “The out-going model.” There are a lot of differences both visually and performance wise which leads me to say that its a new generation, if not a half generation like the B5.5 A4’s back in the late 90s.
