When the first Shelby GT500KR hit showroom floors in 1968, people started to realize that it truly lived up to its name as the King of the Road.  With a worked over 428 Cobra Jet, the classic muscle car produced 335hp and 440ft. lbs. of torque, deeming it virtually untouchable. After setting the standard for the performance car industry in the ’60s, Carroll Shelby knew he had to make a comeback when he noticed the muscle car wars were about to get bigger than ever between the “Big Three” car manufacturers, so he decided to build an all new GT500KR.

When you think about Jeep, I doubt you will be thinking muscle car. I will be the first to admit the first thing that pops into my head is a rock-crawling monster, but the nice folks at SRT (Street and Racing Technology) had a different idea. With the aftermarket offroad parts booming for every vehicle in the Jeep lineup, the team at SRT decided to push the Jeep Cherokee into the muscle car arena.

The brains at GM have decided it would be a good idea to bring back the El Camino style automobile in the form of the Pontiac G8 Sport Truck. From the front it looks just like the G8 GT but when you look around back you will find a 73.9 inch cargo area (bed), which is barley 6 foot. After being nothing more than a concept for nearly three years, Chrysler executives may have finally come to their senses, realizing that building the Chrysler Firepower may not be such a good idea afterall. The decision of actually producing this half-luxury, half-supercar has been thrown around more than a Super Bowl game ball, but due to Chrysler’s current financial standing it appears that the Firepower is nothing to hold your breath for.

BMW is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the famed BMW M1. They are celebrating the new birthday in the way that we all love - with a new concept car which has been dubbed the M1 Homage. They recently debuted the new concept at the 2008 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Lake Como, Italy.
